The Essence of the Female Spirit
What makes a strong and powerful woman? A powerful woman is someone who is independent, confident, intelligent and have a passion for life.
An independent woman can stand on her own two feet in this world, and go after what she wants from life, whether it's a career, financial independence or just being the best mother or friend she could possibly be. Independence goes hand in hand with a strong will and to overcome any hardships life could possibly bring. A positive outlook on any aspects of her life is also the key ingredient to being a strong and successful.
A confident woman can radiate her inner beauty to outer beauty, no matter what shape or size. Happiness comes from within, from the heart of any woman. A confident woman will stand out in any crowd, will speak her mind but will also know when not to say anything.
What I'm trying to say here is that ALL women are beautiful, especially when that little seed, the female spirit, are nurtured and allowed to grow to be a powerful woman.
I'm not much of a writer, as a photographer I think in pictures. So this blog is especially dedicated to all women, whether you're a mom, a sister and a daughter. Whether you're a business woman, artist, nurse, doctor, lawyer, teacher (all women are teachers and nurses) or a domestic goddess, the female spirit can and will rise above all!
The main reason for starting up this wonderful blog of mine and to celebrate the beauty and essence of South African women. I have won a competition sponsored by Lil-lets, themed 'Wishes For Women'. I took the chance to enter and my wish was to go on a road trip along the coast of South Africa, from Jeffreys Bay to Cape Town and back again, capturing the beauty and essence of these women through the lens of my camera...
